Together with you, we are creating awareness for clean oceans. As Bye Bye Plastik, we are launching three projects that will make a difference.

The cleanup map: Sylt cleans up

Grab a bag and turn a walk on the beach into active nature conservation. With our interactive map, your impact is finally measurable. This turns individual cleanups into a joint project.

School classes for clean oceans

Every year, numerous school classes from all over Germany come to Sylt to experience a trip close to nature. We supplement their stay on the island with a workshop on plastic waste in the sea.

Our App

Together with H.O.P.E., we have developed our own app. In it, Jimmy cheerfully motivates people to reduce their plastic consumption. It also offers lots of interesting information, checks and quizzes on the topic.

For clean oceans

Create awareness

The oceans are heavily polluted with plastic waste and the waves and tides carry marine litter to our beaches every day. We show our connection with the ocean and nature by taking a stand against plastic waste. Our walk simply becomes a personal cleanup and we inspire our fellow human beings.

From Sylt into the world

Sylt is the headquarters of our marine conservation organization, which was founded on the island in 2019. Here is our origin, here is our passion. This is the source of our energy and our drive. The North Sea gives us our "why" every day. With our campaigns and our work on Sylt, we want to give visitors to the island a spark that they can use to light a fire for clean seas at home.

Strengthening the community

Every help counts. Our community is made up of people who are committed to clean oceans from the heart and out of conviction. This also includes families, companies, associations, schools and kindergartens that are part of the solution and encourage each other.

We are Bye Bye Plastik

Every person who raises awareness for clean oceans is a part of us. Without our oceans, human life on earth would not be possible. It is time for us humans to give something back and protect the oceans from further plastic pollution. Bye Bye Plastik is already acting today for a better tomorrow.
